I'm looking to get a hardtop in preferably white but will take black as well.

Let me know if you have one or know of one for sale.

Thanks,
Steve

It's on a RED car

It's a joke man, I sold my old one. That was literally perfect.

I wish I still had it.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about color too much. They're hard enough to find as it is.

Yeah man, get the first cheap one you can find and paint it.

Not a bad price if they are really Axis.

Those are pretty cool, I'll see if he still has them. :)

i'd sell the tires and get some 205/50-15.... should fit fine on a miata because the wheels are +15 offset... and it'll look far better than the space-saver spare tire look of those ****ty 195's

RotorNutFD3S

Ad said +25? But yeah.
And stretched tires FTL.
I happen to know someone with a spare set of 205/50R15s for sale. :)

Just for my reference, for a hardtop in mint condition, what's an average price? How much is too much?

RotorNutFD3S

Average selling price is near $1,000. You'll see them as high as $1,200. I think that's way too high, but I like my money. :)
If you're patient with it, you'll score one in the $700-$800 range. You just can't be picky with the color choice sometimes.

MeFryRice

Well I found a white on that is mint on m.net for $950 but then I'd have to pay for shipping.

If really mint, at least $1200. Possibly more over the winter. I got $1200 for mine, but I saw one in the same mint shape go on ebay for $1700 not too long ago

Average condition $1000 +/-

Sometimes you see them for $800-900, but it's rare.

Sometimes you see them for less, but it will be sold before you even contact the seller.

Ok thanks! :D

I call mine a little less than average condition, but at $300, I'm not complaining. The deals are out there, you just have to find/wait on them. Of course, your soft top isn't the best of shape, so you gotta figure out if you want a hard top first or the soft top replaced.

MeFryRice

Maybe I should just buy the hardtop instead of wasting money on a soft-top.

That's what I'm thinking too.. Just drive the S2k when it's nasty out until you find one.

I dont know what your plans are BUT....using a hardtop only on a Miata sucks...but only sucks if you like driving topless. If you want a coupe its great but when youre out cruising with your pals and the weather warms up nicely and they all drop their tops youre stuck with your coupe becuase you have to run home and remove your top....and then if the weather turns...youre screwed again.
Thats why in this climate I have always sold all my hardtops. I'd rather spend my cash on a really nice soft top with a glass window. In an optimum world its good to have both. :)

I think he meant just for the time being. We were at my house talking about this last night and I got the impression that he just wanted to have the hardtop for now while the weather is getting colder instead of doing both at once.

Honestly, I don't think I'll take it off a whole lot. I think I can manage. :D

If not you should spread the wealth of information ;)

Hard tops frustrate me, I like how they look but I have my top down at nearly every given opportunity. Even when I start a journey in the cold with the top up I nearly always drop it at the first set of traffic lights.

RotorNutFD3S

Oh, the one I found will be sold anyway, even if he doesn't get it.

Yes. Thats exactly the problem with them...and why I always opt to collect the $$ rather then keep them.

Me too. I'm anxious just sitting here...
