I will use this space to document the Miata update\upgrades\failures\
Basically I have now a running 92 1.6 miata. needs tires and possibily a speedo cable tightened, whiring in the back of the dash.
my plans well I want to autocross again and track it one day. I'm stuck in CSP so I need to get a set of tires first off for racing it, either 13s or 15s
Not sure whats common in CSP to run but I'll figure it out. Right now I'm learning how to use a clutch though and break the new one in.
Anyways goals will be turbocharge it, better brakes, better suspension koni+GC maybe, new rubbers around the car
But my first mod will be a roll bar for it, probably a hard dog one.
So I went out on a drive with the car and I can say that a Nissan altima is a 4x4 in disguise.
many things I want to work on when funds start flowing enough to allow.
Want to build some ITBs with extra manifold I have and some gixxer TBs.
Megasquirt it for better control and to get rid of the AFM.
I'm not sure on the brakes yet, probably some blank discs from brembo and some street\race pads not full race pads.
If anyone can recommend what to do for CSP I'd appericate it
I did have the engine light come on, but I"m pretty sure its emissions problem, seeing as the car smelled, exhaust smell, think its running rich right now.

so your gonna build a manifold over the itbs m3 style?
Techsalvager

Yeah thats one of my ideas
Other would be run ITBs until later turbo is setup
Another is to the run a Throttle body infront of the turbo without a bov in the intake piping.

I have since added the middle console back in and swept out the interior.
Also the hose lying on the intake manifold has been relocated to be underneath it
So far I have a engine light coming on and off and I'm pretty sure its running rich because you can smell the exhaust alot, emissions pretty sure it wouldn't past an emissions test. Probably need a new o2, but I'll just get a wideband, well try to find one that can also send a fake narrowband signal to the ecu as well. Cat is probably dead also\useless

Well first and foremost... if you are adding a turbo, your not in CSP.

I haven't autoxed in 2 years now, not likely to matter anyways, I really to get myself out there again though.

Well it will matter because you wont be allowed in CSP.
All Im saying is figure out what your goal is then build to suit. ie. read the rules.
Why are you "stuck in CSP"?

that was posted a while back and doesn't matter anymore.

Redid IAC piping to look nicer
Blocked off ISC
Having overheat issues, my fan isn't coming on controlled by the front thermoswitch, relay seems fine as I grounded from front connector to a ground point, fan came on. I replaced the thermo sensor with another one that suppodesly good, still gets to reading 210+ in the MS and the fan never comes on at idle either. I think there maybe blockage in the system somewhere causing this issue so its very cool up front compared to the back.
There is alot of brown crusty **** in my coolant system, I need to do a coolant flush and use some flush addictive to try and remove it.
I'm thinking of running the pre intercooler piping though the fender side around to the front. When I saw how that was done, I got pissed I cut some of my body work where I did to run over the radiator. But than I rethought about something and figured I could put a inlet in the front bumper and run some ducting from the front bumper area though that hole area to dump right infront of the turbo air filter. Not a total loss.
