well i guess ill make a journal too, now that everyone else has
what i have-
2003 Red NB, 6 speed, Black leather, BOSE, Bilstein's, HD DD, stock 16"s painted black, sideskirts, mud flaps and all that other stuff

I bought her in September of 2008 @ 79,000 miles, it's not even a year and she just hit 99,000 due to my former commute to work which was a *****

many of you know olivia and the wounds she has received from our love/hate relationship...yeh i hit the ***** a few times and she didn't deserve it :lol:

but thats chill now, we're good, however when i first got her it was an impulse buy as i had always liked NB Miatas (NA and NC does nothing for me no offense guys but body-wise the NB is sexy)! i didnt like her simply because she is/was SLOOOWW as balls! then i started getting good at driving her and pushing her in turns,curves,etc.. and started to like her- i don't even need to say what my car of choice is, as you already know, i had 2 of them both turbos prior to olivia, wherein lies the solution--put a TURBO in Olivia and then i guarantee i will love her.

that being said all i really want to do is-
FM Voodoo 2 Turbo Kit
BeGi Zoom3 ECU
Enthuza Exhaust (keepin it single)
Large Side Skirts
GV lip spoiler
H&R Springs
and some black 5 spoke rims

i could do a little bit of this every month however i have to have funds to support my alcoholism, nymphomania, gambling, and club venturing therefore it takes time, oh yeah and hunting season is coming up and i spend a lot there too. world cup 2010 too, there's one more setback. in the meantime i just like Olivia to be parked with her friends Mia, Elizabeth, Doppelganger, The *****, and Lava Orange MSM b/c they help build her self-esteem as they are her hot friends and she's the one nobody wants to phuck! soon she'll get a makeover though. :)

there was no bracketry or mounting pieces, so the intake just sagged and rubbed the strut area with the movement of the engine

1- fog lights were replaced... Panic Motorsports FTW, i urge you to give Steve a call or PM whenever you need something as his prices are the best and he's a great seller!!


2- we took the roll bar out (WONTON + Sawzall= win)
it was a Kirk Racing bar that the PO did all kinds of fvck ups installing, there's no way it would have done what was necessary in the event of a roll

next up, i guess i'll finally get some springs, they're not much i've just been spending on all this other stuff. after that it's either paint the new wheels i got or buy some. then on to the next level- ROTREX time. i've done alot of research here and mainly mt.net, and i've since decided the Voodoo II turbo isn't for me as i'm not really one with the know how or patience for tuning. Rotrex is pretty much hassle free after initial tune. supposedly they are coming out with a 190hp upgrade kit w/ intercooler, piping, and something else, still not showing on 949

finally, i would definately like to give a shout out and many thanks to Ripley who has done alot of work on my car as well as diagnosed problems, found parts, etc... his work is 100% fvcking solid and i trust him with anything when it comes to my car. good people.

I dunno Calvin, obviously for me an NA. It's definitely more of a classic roadster. You feel the bumps more, it's revvier (that's an actual word, I swear), and just feels smaller. Especially a 1.6l.

That beings said, you seem to be drawn to bigger cars. I imagine the average Volvo feels a lot more like a GT (300zx) car than it ever would a little roadster. So maybe a worked 300zx would give you that balance of sports car/GT car you seem to like.

Or I'm reading you all wrong.

Edit: It is important to remember that 300zx's are much more of a ***** to work on. And you'll be working on them a lot more often. Jus sayin'

nah, you got it right. NA's seem to be better built Miata's. not a big fan of a stock looking NA, but something like yours, dempsey, or nick's looks hella good. Kurt swears by and got me started on the 1.6L NA desire, not to mention from personal experience I really think NA's have better built interiors and seem less cheap/flimsy. Steadily this NB has become a money pit, I think above average even with preventative maintenace (see Nick T lol). I just think I'd like an untouched NA, so that way I could start from square one, and make sure **** gets done properly (bc the PO surely didn't) and the way I want it.

The 300ZX has just always been a favorite since I was a kid, I loved them from the first time I saw them, and still do to this day. Another plus is Z1 Motorsports is 20 min from my house FTW. It's still undecided right now, I'd like to have something cheap like a $500 commuter beater if I went this route

Like you I've also always had a soft spot for the 90-96 300ZXs - I thought they looked like damn Ferraris when they first hit the streets. My aunt had a red '90 with t-tops. My and my high school girlfriend took it out one night and did 145mph with the t tops off - it was awesome! And yes, very stupid to do that on public roads, but hey - I was 18.
