I'll go with a "no." Don't like the FLAT black. And the red strip makes it look too :butt:

I think it looks good on wheels like the ones I sold but I really don't like the thin stripe of red look. It doesn't set the wheel off enough.

time attack steve? elaborate please... i also likes jenns rims till i saw the price...my pockets arent deep enough

time attack style = black with red lip
I actually really don't like that term though since people have been doing colored accents on wheels for decades. It's just a style that got really popular over the last couple of years.
MeFryRice

I'm just used to the term as that's what it was referred to when it became very popular in the BMW scene.

Pretty much everyone calls them by that name but I'd hate to think some of these clueless ricers think that colored wheels are a new thing or that time attack cars invented it.

I'ld try and find something used, it cuts out on the shipping and saves you so much money.
These would look great with a new paint job, black with a red lip...
http://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t36568/
These Rota's always look good too, again you could add a red lip...

Then you're nuts. Even Mike bought used.
MeFryRice

There's nothing wrong with buying used wheels as long as they are straight and true. Buying used can save you a good amount of money as the original buyer is usually taking a big loss.
To give you an idea, the wheels I'm looking at go for $3400 new. If you find a set used, you can typically find them for ~$2500 give or take a couple hundred dollars.
** Oh, and I don't feel like hearing people ***** and moan that I'm willing to spend that kind of money on wheels. This is my decision and don't need to hear your criticism.

**sore spot
I got my perfect condition Kosei K1's with tyres for $500 over the summer. It costs about $750 or so to buy them new without tyres, then add in tires and you're looking at a grand or so for the same combo. That saving is worth the time and effort to look for a bargain. Besides, I love looking for used part deals. :D
MeFryRice

I really like the K1's. I wanted a set for my car for the sheer fact that they can be replaced for relatively cheap and be painted all sorts of cool colors. :D

The wheels I'm drooling over for my car are going to run me about $1,600 for the set and are rarely seen on the used market, although I'm keeping my eyes peeled and my mouth shut. They won't be coming any time soon and they won't be daily driven on, that's for damn sure.

Yep! Speaking of which I have a spare set in the wrong lug pattern painted Bronze for sale. If it's 4 lug but larger space than 4x100, then it's 114.5 right? 240sx size?

Oh I read it alright, just thought you were talking about Steve's message on the whole seen as you focused on the NEW vs used part which he then went on to talk about.
What rubber you gonna throw on them?
