Nissan GTR (http://youtube.com/watch?v=_gNn9dlXhwE)

I'm not sure if anyone else has seen it yet or not, but not only does the GTR's incredible grip throw out Clarkson's neck, but Stig burns up the track and finishes a few ticks behind an Ariel Atom.

I don't care, the GTR can still die in a fire, twice.

Ok honestly lol after watching the whole video I hate it even more now...it really is like a huge computer. Is it even really a car?? I saw one the other day at work and gagged.

Yeah, it's probably not the purest driving experience in the world, but you've got to have a ton of respect for something that fast, regardless of how it does it.

I respect the insane amount of crazy details they came up with and all, even the electronics, not my thing, but def. crazy they can do that.

The fact that they designed the car to be unmodifiable makes me never want one.

That's a huge thing. I really don't understand why they did that...

Although a lot of people don't like the car, they have to admit, for the price, that's the fastest thing out there. Cobb has broke the ECU code and is now able to reprogram it.

Well, as soon as I can afford the durn thing, I'll get right on that tuning! Still, gnurled rims to keep the wheels from sliding in the tires? All that electronic trickery? The freaking knobs and switches you have to press to engage launch control? It's awesome. It's the height of Japanese weirdness and it kicks butt. Can't wait to see the V-Spec version.

^Sure if it was on PS3 lol.

For a car? No thank you. I would buy a base 911 before I got a GTR.

i love it...first nissan i truly adore!

If I could afford a 911 (especially a nice black 997 Carrera) do you think I'd still be singing the praises of the GTR? The GTR is the girl next door that puts out on demand. The 911 is the supermodel that tolerates your presence.

^^ I will agree. My next "expensive" car will be a P-Car. I personally want a 993 Turbo. :D

But just for the record, I don't think there's a single brand new car for the new money I would take ahead of the skyline. That thing is truly epic, I don't see the need to modify a car like that.

Man, you've got to stop listening to Jeremy Clarkson. I know he hates Porsches, but they're still cool cars.

He deserved this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=uSRy3ZY2W8M)

I wonder how long until we'll be seeing GT-R's regularly on the street?

MeFryRice

Not very long. People have reported seeing them quite a bit lately.

Sawyer
07-29-2008, 10:43 AM
Really? I've still never seen one in person. Not too sure it would change my opinion of them at all though.

I suppose that just shows how cars keep on getting bigger. At least this one is faster in every respect. That photo may also be a segment of my dream garage

Damn that looks huge!
It's definitely a land yacht. I couldn't drive a car that big..

MeFryRice

It's def. a land yacht for sure. Too big IMO.
