I'm a tad frustrated to say the least right now. It's hot and I'm grubby and annoyed. When you've only experienced replacing Mcpherson strut setups things get quite interesting quite quickly!

The latest annoyance is the crap service of pepboys, and the fact that none of my local automotive stores carry generic rubber strut boots. But they all carry the expensive stock replacements including the god damn bumpstops which I am replacing. And will be buggered silly before I spend the best part of $100 for 4 rubber boots!

ARGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!:cry::cry::cry:

Working on your car in this heat will drive you crazy. Especially if you've been trying to get the same part off for ~30 + minutes!

I know that feeling. I'm about to take my diff back out to put the stock one back in. It's not fun. :(

The AC saves me a LOT of money on beer and the lift save a LOt of wear and tear on my old knees..The fact that he owns every tool known to man comes in pretty handy as well

Don't have a lift, but I do have a 1000 sq ft work shop behind my house with heat, air, bathroom and a beer refridg.
Makes any job go a lot easier.

Decided a few years ago that working in airconditioning was a lot more fun.

Have a decent set of tools too, MIG, TIG, plasma cutter, English wheel, sand blast cabinet, plus all the normal stuff.

Holy **** that's incredible. I have a costco tool set and various other things I've had to pick per each install! Is it possible to install something without visiting pepboys multiple times??

Now imagine picking up the tools you need for a specific job across a 25 year time span, for 33 cars to date ...you wind up with a lot of tools

That must be a hell of a feeling not having to ghetto fab anything. Do you ever use zip ties?

Re the zip ties comment...

I was helping a friend move this weekend and she needed some zip ties for the dryer vent. I mentioned that " I always carry zip ties and duct tape in my car"

She said "So do serial killers"
