Make sure you stop by the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon!

well im FINALLY back. After 52 hours the car is in the garage. I got home at 2am this morning and to tell you the truth, wish I could have kept driving. By far one of the most amazing trips I have EVER made. Sadly, I didnt get to see the hoover, but I did see the grand canyon. We took I-40 the entire way back which was great with a 75mph speed limit. The scenery was awesome.
to your question Mike, for the rest of this season, the car will be the DD and race car. Once next season starts, ill buy a beater for a DD. After the SCCA Runoffs, I will be doing a good amount of stuff to the car. Cant wait.
I wanna say thanks to everyone who helped me out, derek who went with me on this adventure, and everyone who kept calling me asking how things were going. Thats one thing I love about car people, no matter if your at the track, or driving across the country, everyone is willing to help.

I've made the trip from Eglin AFB, FL to Seattle a couple times. One of the longest trips I've done but it's not so bad as long as you have someone you can enjoy it with.
I bought my first M3 in Colorado and drove it back to ATL. It was a fun trip and didn't seem as long as I thought it was going to be.

Oh geez, Atlanta to Tulsa is mind-numbingly boring. Did that drive a few times when I went to flight school out there.

Rode in the car at the Athens meet on Monday. Sounds beautiful. And the brakes are unreal. Thanks to them, the cop that we were approaching at 90mph didn't notice a thing. :)
I just finished my first cross-country road trip as well. Atlanta to Seattle in a 2008 Dodge Cummins 4x4 with a 35ft. enclosed dual axle trailer behind it (and a $300k 'Cuda inside it). Driving across Kansas with the gusts and a continent in tow was an experience. That thing can haul 15k lbs. through mountain passes with the cruise control set at 75 though. :)
Glad you made it back in one piece, Matt. Get some pics up.
