I have recently installed a MSPnP in my 92 Miata. The car started and idled, rather high with the 92 msq file with AFM, but I am running a 99 engine with a 99 throttle body with the variable TPS and the 99 IAC, I have since removed the AFM and replaced it with the GM style IAT sensor. Is there a msq file available anywhere to get started tuning with?
Thanks

Well, it's already running, so it's mostly going to be a matter of getting the VE and spark tables optimized. You might also want to copy over the IAC settings from the '96-'97 MSQ file.

Thanks Matt. I have gone back to the AFM since I can't find a decent air intake for the 99 engine that will fit under the hood and around the lights, PS etc of an NA. I had it idling last night but my LC-1/XD-16 O2 sensor went offline for some reason. I have the XD-16 grounded to chassis and not to the same spot as the LC-1, which I understand could be an issue. That or I don't have it calibrated correctly.

"hustler" on miataturbo has a 1.6 car with transplanted 99 motor. his .msq settings may be useful for you to review, though his spark adn fuel tables will be very different than yours
you are running the HR firmware right?

Pardon my ignorance but HR firmware? I'm running what came with the unit and the downloaded stuff from the CD.

How do you go about identifying the HR firmware?

The regular MSPNP firmware for your car is not hi res. If you haven't put it on there on purpose, you don't have hi res code.
