Coming to Atlanta (April 19-24)

I'll be in Atlanta that week for a training class. The training location and hotel are in the north end of the city, near Dunwoody.

I'll be getting into town on Sunday evening, leaving sometime Friday. Hope to make it by R-Speed, but since they close at 4:30 I may not make it because of the class...

Anyone up for getting together that week? What's in that area?

We'll assemble at the top of the parking deck. It's usually pretty busy there even during the week but there should be enough room for everyone. Hopefully, we can get a big table out on the patio.

I think Jenn suggested something more like 7:30 - 8. I live within walking distance, so I can be there whenever. If you're gonna be there around 7:30 or maybe a little earlier, I'll meet you there at the top of the deck and we can hang out up there while the others arrive.

Doesn't make a difference to us either. We're really close. Just as long as we give others plenty of time to get there after traffic dies down. I figured that saying between 7:30 and 8:00 would allow most people to miss the traffic even if they are coming from across town. We can be there early and hang out.

Oh yeah, man. That's the way it is here every day. There are 3 interections as well as the on-ramp for 400N that get police direction. I remember when we didn't have it. People would ALWAYS stop in the middle of the intersection just trying to make it through. The police pretty much just keep that from happening. It helps.

I'm in WR too - and went up to the roll bar install Sunday... rolling & raining :) -- but yeah, was only my second appearance to this bunch yet. Maybe one day us WR guys can host a gig that some would make a day trip for... Heck, a couple of them used to drive to the drifting events down in Cordele.

Nobody is planning anything in Cordele (that I know about anyway!) - that was just an example I used about people travelling more than 50 miles anywhere for a gathering.

haha, there is nothing down there. My last job I would do some work in Rome (exit 290) and then drive South to Mcdonough (exit 216), cordele, and then tifton (exit 49). No fun.
