I ran it catless and w/cat and the catless version did drone a bit, but not too bad and was moderatly loud. Once I put a cat back no the car, it sounded GREAT. Nice and depp with a mellow tone...def. NOT a cop caller or rice bait.

nice just what i wanted to hear. my last car a mustang was loud as hell and sounded great but drove me crazy on the highway and i drive more on the highway now than ever so sounds like this should work for me.

It's probably about 3-5 hp, then sound is much better. The midpipe is a big restriction, even in your non-boosted car. The FM mid pipe or the Roadster mid pipe are both ceramic 2.5" cats, with 2.5 piping. The stock exhaust is about 2". Put this and a good midpipe on, and you'll get more like 10 whp, also you'll be more ready for the sc or turbo in your future.

i have this cat back and my cat failed so i replaced it with the FM one, i dont know about HP gains but the car sounds a lot better.
