View Full Version : Enthuza XR Lightweight

Looks like I'm not going to be racing much at all next season, so I'm starting to get rid of some of my race gear. At the moment, all I'm willing to part with is my Enthuza XR Lightweight exhaust. Sells for $279 on Enthuza's website, I'd like $180. It's been used for about eight points events this season. It's got my paw prints on it but a sponge will take care of that.

Very shiny, very light, very very nice. It's just that I only use it for points events, and if I'm not going to be racing much next season....
Anyway, you can either PM me here, shoot me an email at thx712517@gmail.com, or give me a ring at 678-654-9730.

Come on now, no one wants a light weight high quality muffler for $99 under current list price for a new one?
Doppelgänger
09-18-2008, 07:07 AM
I wonder how much louder it is over my FM.....
What's the I.D. of the pipe?
BTW Kevin, your letter to SCC got published.... go see my reply in the off-topic forum.

Not sure about internal diameter, I'll measure that for you as soon as I can get my hands on my pipe.
Har har har.

If i can sell any of the stuff i've posted for sale, i'd def. be buying it.......i think my car is too quiet lol
thx712517
09-18-2008, 05:35 PM
It is a 2.5" internal diameter.
Doppelgänger
09-19-2008, 06:14 AM
argh... that would mat eright up with my FM stuff. I'm trying to pedal my wears as fast as i can in hope that you'll still have this!
thx712517
09-19-2008, 03:00 PM
I've got it up here and at Solo Atlanta, but no nibbles yet. I'm not even going to bother with Import Atlanta or Craigslist, too many idiots.
RotorNutFD3S
09-19-2008, 03:04 PM
My buddy said he does not have the money right now for this.
Put it up on m.net classifieds. I'm sure it'd sell pretty quick there.

A good friend of mine looks like he's getting a Miata this weekend. I'll let him know. I would buy this in a heartbeat if I wasn't currently working on some things with Enthuza.
thx712517

Any nibbles?

Trade for any of my stuff i have for sale? Hey.. doesn't hurt to ask....
thx712517
09-23-2008, 07:16 AM
I wish I could, but I'd rather get the money. If I had to trade something, I dunno... Nothing comes to mind that I really need.
Doppelgänger
09-23-2008, 07:24 AM
I hear ya, i'd imagine about the only thing that could be useful is the front lip. Hopefull i can sell something soon. If i do, i'll see if you still have the exhaust.
thx712517
09-25-2008, 08:38 AM
Well, I've still got the exhaust, no one's bought it yet. As far as a trade goes, I know it's nowhere near fair, but I'm lusting after the Flyin' Miata single exit exhaust, so if anyone's got one and wants to be a hooligan...
Doppelgänger
09-25-2008, 08:54 AM
Ironically, that's what's on my car
But i dunno about trading it.... since i'll eventually be selling the while FM exhaust when i go 3" and i'd be afriad i couldn't get as much $$$ if it's not a complete FM setup :( I am tempted though.
RotorNutFD3S
09-25-2008, 10:20 AM
Mike, when you want to, sell it as an almost complete FM exhaust with Enthuza tail end. I'm willing to bet it'd sell just fine.
But, you guys might want to swap and see what you think after that and then go from there. It's local. :)

09-25-2008, 11:13 AM
I was thinking about asking if Kevin might want to bring it over and let me put it on and hear what it sounds like on my car and see if he'd want to trade for my FM [turbo] single.
thx712517
09-25-2008, 11:29 AM
Where you at, yo? We could always bring it to the dealership over here and monkey around on the lift like big boys.

where is the dealership? I live over in Cham-Woody

Saturn of Marietta, highway 41 and Delk Rd. a bit north of Dobbins. Know where Jim Ellis Mazda is? Right down the hill from them. I'm working Saturday, off at 4, I wouldn't mind driving toward you a bit if necessary. You know as well as I do how much gas is going for right now, especially premium.
RotorNutFD3S
09-25-2008, 12:50 PM
Thinking about it, that turbo single is probably going to be loud on an n/a car.
Doppelgänger
09-25-2008, 01:32 PM
Hmmmm. I take it you live north of there too? I was going to suggest coming over to my house and doing it in the garage here. Luckily, the cars don't need to go on a lift to do just the muffler section.
Racking my car is such a PITA because it's so low.
end of line.
thx712517
09-25-2008, 01:45 PM
I'm up in Marietta, you know where Dallas Highway hooks up with Due West? Maybe we should switch to PM's before we go swapping addresses.

See, now I'm kinda worried. Went over to FM's site and yeah, big red letters saying nasty loud, not cool loud. Hmm. Tell you what dude, if you can come up with the money in a month's time, I'll just hold it for you and you can keep your FM stuff.

RotorNutFD3S
09-26-2008, 01:43 PM
Well, Kris has something wrong with the suspension. He heard a loud ping when he pulled out of his driveway and now the car is pulling hard to one side. So he's getting that checked out.

I've got no problem helping put it on a car, I'd just hate to do a bunch of driving and not sell it, you know? I'm about on empty at the moment and need to find a station that even has gas. I shudder to think how much it's going to cost...

thx712517
09-29-2008, 01:05 PM
Loud as ****. It drones on the highway. This is for being a hooligan or racing.
Loud, see? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kwTZ1gSH4I)

Oh and it shouldn;t take you more than 10min to remove your muffler and put the new one on. Just remember to spray the hangers with some WD40 or something... makes a huge difference with getting the hangers on and off.

Me being stupid, but how does filling your muffler with water while the car is running make it louder?
Doppelgänger
10-10-2008, 09:23 AM
It makes the fiberglass packing to compress down and not absorb as much sound.
MeFryRice
10-10-2008, 10:13 AM
Is it something that needs to only be done once?
Doppelgänger
10-10-2008, 11:10 AM
It does eventaully dry and get fluffy again, so i've done it a few times and each time it gets just a little louder :) It's really noticable when you first do it.
RotorNutFD3S
10-10-2008, 12:11 PM
I don't even think you really have to flood it either. I always wondered why my FM duals were louder after I washed the crap out of the inside of the outlets. (Don't ask me why I do that, has always been a part of cleaning my car. The outlets are shining inside and out when I'm done. lol)
