Camel Lights- $4.59/pack
i go to Race Trac in Newnan- 1 Red Bull, 1 Heineken Pint, 1 Pack of Camel Lights for $11 somethin dollars...ouch thats like 55 minutes of work for me

Go to the Wal-Mart gas stations, NOT INSIDE WAL-MART. I bought a pack of Marlboro Lights for just under $3.99, tax included. I am sure that will change in the coming weeks, but at least we can save for now...

I quit while I was in the AF...but I still took smoke breaks. I figured if everyone else was allowed to get a 10min break every hour, so was I! Plus, most of my friends smoked anyway, so it was usually a good time.

**** buying them at a gas station... i'll probably start buying them online. I found out they have a Djarum Black Cappuccino style...sounds interesting :) and for $25 for a carton that will last me a month (normally $40+ anywhere retail).

I quit in January mostly because of the price. so far so good
I still take my 5min/hour "smoke" breaks too. Why not have the free down time if everyone else can?

I know its hard to do, but y dont you just quit? I guess not being a smoker, i never understood the whole concept of smoking. Its a habit, it smells like ****, its expensive and it will kill you, and you dont even get high. So what is the point? Its nice not having to stop in the middle of doing something to light one up. Idk, just my thoughts.

I'm no hater by any means there ZNZ, I know how you feel, a smoke w/ my morning coffee used to be my reason for getting out of bed every morning!
I quit b/c
1) was getting pretty expensive as my habit progressed
2) I honestly just kinda got tired of worrying about when/where I would get my next one.

No it doesn't but most people don't think to take breaks like smokers do. I know I've never thought of taking 5 min breaks during my work day before.

so i just looked at my pack i have one cig left... i spend $60.oo a week on these damn things...it's ridiculous...in one year the amount i spend on cigs- could buy the Voodoo II i want, plain and simple. I am about to smoke this cig, and enjoy it immensely, then I am done..i might have to get the gums or patches or something but its gotta stop lol

I took the idea from THIS (http://www.mx5atlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=746&highlight=smoking&page=2) thread, and have a "no smoking" jar, so my weekely cig. $$ goes in there for the next year!
Its going to be tough, but gum (any gum) will help you break the actual "habit" of smoking.

That made me think of something, one of my friends said that chewing on toothpicks helped him quit. However, I think he was more addicted to the action of smoking... Who knows though, may help.

i've heard it's a mental thing. my aunt used to walk around with an unlit cig in her hand since i was a toddler, one day i asked her why..she said the doctor told her that smoking was just to do out of boredom and she hasn't smoked in years. then again it's europe...EVERYONE smokes lol
