Is there any reason it is ridiculously difficult to pull them out on my 96 1.8? Is there something keeping them locked in place? Plug wires are never this hard to remove.

Whoever installed them probably didn't use dielectric grease, and the rubber part is probably now sticking to the head. You may end up destroying the wires taking them off. No big deal if you're replacing them with a new set.

:lol: I put enough force into them I nearly **** myself.... casey comes over and pops em off with a flat head like it's nobody's business. Plugs and wires changed and greased!

hahah sometimes it just takes someone else and something you've been doin for 30 minutes they do effortlessly in two. HAHA o well

Leverage is your friend, in most cases at least.

Yeah sometimes I get that, I pour motor oil down in there before installation now and it makes it a lot easier.
