lol
I helped start a forum a while back at www.roadsterstyle.com (http://www.roadsterstyle.com/forum/index.php). It's focus was any "Roadster", but at the moment, Miata and S2K owners are the primary goal, although there are a couple of Sky and MR2 owners on there presently.
At first, things stayed pretty busy, but now it's kinda died down. Actually, the site hasn't seen a real post in days.
Anyway, if it's ok with the ownership here, please check it out, join, and see if there is anything that interests you or if you have something to contribute. You'll recognize some of the people there from other forums too. Just would like to see some of my hard work pay off a little better than it has.

Eric has gone all greedy on us... i bet there is a site counter/banner clicker thingy that is dumping money into an offshoe account and that's why he is promoting it

In fact, if you bring a bunch of people over, and once this place expands to a point when I need some more help with people. I'll consider you as one of the future mods. At the moment it's just me who actively keeps an eye on this place and your experience could prove to be valuable in the hopefully not to distant future. There's a few of you I've been thinking of for later.

It's not another mx5 atlanta forum, that is something I'd never promote here. It is however a country-wide Roadster forum; mx5, s2k, mr2, sky, soltice, austin healey sprite for all I care, lol.

I do believe that it it's primary focus is different than this forum, I enjoy this one a LOT because it's mainly local people I already know, and creates a great networking resource. I consider every forum I'm a member of as a resource, I browse 5 forums on a daily basis, including this one. I'm sure most people also browse a few regularly. If they find time to glance over mine, and maybe add their knowledge and presence, I'm happy.

Also, there aren't many people there from GA, but I have created an announcement directly to this forum as well, just to be fair. There are actually quite a few members from the TN and FL area that travel to GA on a frequent basis, and like to meet up with us. This forum would give them a better portal to communicate with us.

Anyway, I've been referring local people I know have Miatas, the guy that is buying my turbo and intercooler should be joining, and I'll keep doing that.
And if you need help, feel free to ask for it. I'm pretty much always online, and have decent webbuilding and graphics experience.

Oh, and Mike, I wish that were true. And it wouldn't be offshore, it'd be dumping directly into my bank account so I can buy more stuff to finish the car!

Well you're right it is national. I didn't notice the regional forum part, that's what happens in the morning with me :D

In which case, feel free to promote it. I really don't like miata.net and approve of anyone who tries to take them on. Where have you promoted it?

Something I learned fairly early on is that keeping the number of forums lower really helps with activity. It seems like you have too many forums with just one or two topics. I'ld consider merging forums together initially to get some banter going on and then once the user base grows dramatically you can split them and get more specific.

I think a really good idea to get it moving again would be a relaunch. If you want I can help you gather some interest and get the place going again. A new look and some promotion could really get things kicking again.

I'll delete my earlier posts and change the thread title.

Well, the owner and main admin is MIA, and I'm not allowed to make any major changes without his prior approval. I don't exactly like the way it is setup, but I can't do anything but make my suggestions in the moderator section.
It was posted up a while back on m.net and cr.net, I think m.net immediately removed the topic and it never really took off on cr.net. We did get a lot of members from cr.net though. It was also posted at s2ki, and they also immediately removed the post. So word of mouth and our business cards have been the best way.
I appreciate the help, I'll just have to wait and see if I can get clearance to change it up and relaunch it.

Well, I got the go ahead from the owner to treat the place like it was mine. Spent some time tonight reformatting the forums and getting everything reorganized. Had to quit since I have some company getting here, but let me know what you think of it so far.
Please feel free to offer up suggestions!
Next up for it is a new color theme.

That's better already, I would combine off topic with the interesting pictures and video section though.

I'm sure there are plenty of nice looking themes out there to experiment with from the php forums.
