If I had the money, I think I'd swap in an F20C into my Miata, seam weld and urethane foam the chassis, put on every stiffening brace imaginable, suck a hundred or so pounds out of it, and drive it balls to the wall.

I have seen plenty of S2K's that have had a Cusco cage mounted during a roll-over and have yet to see one fail. They are just not SCCA/FIA Approved so many consider them a "show bar" in America.

Yup! The cop was actually nice though.
I was pulling on to 85N tonight and I did my usual, accelerate to 110-115 mph then bring it down to normal speed. I was in the far left lane and pulling up behind a silver Charger pretty quickly then out of the no where, blue lights started flashing from the rear window the Charger! I slowed down and the cop never bothered to pull me over. When the lights came on, I was still doing ~101-102 mph.
I guess I've pushed my luck enough tonight and will remain at home while I still have a license. You ever just have one of those days where you could give two ****s about getting in trouble? Yeah, today was one of those days.

I've seen several GSP Chargers.... they're straight up flucking ninjas. A 350 rwhp Miata shouldn't have much trouble out accelerating one at any speed....
Speaking of "getting into it". I was out and about lastnight and some ricy 2nd gen Prelude pulls up next to me, revvs and backs off. Whatever. Next thing I know, it's attempting a ricer flyby..so before it passed me, I went ahead and stuck my hand out the window with a big thumbs down. I happened to catch a glanceup the driver thinking it would be either they typical thug or the typical Buford Hwy type, but it was some girl. Well, Miss Ricer (with CA plates, euro tails, fart pipe, 3 shades of red and 18's) goes off changing 32 lanes in about a mile just to end up next to me at a light..where we are both first in line. I just kinda looked over and gave the "I know i'm better than you" scoff ,by the way it was some emo/goth wanne be looking thing. So the light drops and I just lightly accelerate in first while she turns it into a burnout competition. I get a little more acceleration in 2nd and 3rd. I wasn't even really "racing", hell, I wasn't even going past 6k nor did I break 60mph (speed limit is 55) and I was still like 4 cars ahead...and giving the thumbs down...AGAIN. So really, she thought she was racing and I was just accelerating to the speed limit. Anyway. She pulled up next to me and is like "that got a turbo?" and I gave a real smart *** face while nodding and saying "yeah... it's just a little Miata"....then proceeded to make my turn.

Yea the military is not my first choice but I can make 30K a year plus my housing and food cost, and then 33K of my student loads paid off each year for up to 3 years. So I look at as 3 years of my life for 180K + freeing housing.

So I worked about twelve hours today, helping transfer inventory from Saturn of Thornton Road to Saturn of Marietta. We filled up a 30' box truck, our shuttle van, and an old Chevy Silverado to the freaking brim, dragged it back, and unloaded. I then got to write down the part number for everything we had, enter it into the computer, check and see if it had a bin location, mark the part with the appropriate bin location, and then put it up.
Damn! Hundreds and hundreds of parts, from bumper covers to alternators, radiators to quarter panels. I'm freaking tired!

I saw Armin play at Opera over the summer... best concert I've seen. He got on at 11ish and we weren't out till 3ish.
I also saw Tiesto this summer, and don't worry Simon, you didn't miss too much. The concert was over sold. There wasn't any room to move and there was an infinite supply of topless fellows getting too close for comfort. He didn't even do an encore.
I think the over selling of tickets is coming down to Opera now as I heard it was the same problem at the Benassi bro's and David Guetta. What used to be a dancing stage is now being used as a "Vip" section for dickheads who don't really appreciate the music.
But I do love me some trance and techno. Chicane is brilliant to relax to Kevin if you're still awake.

I had a set back in the day from some DJ and to be honest after a while it just started to piss me off, cause even though you could hear it transitioning from song to song over time, it was so while blended that it would all start to sound the same. I felt like I was listening to the same song on repeat.

Here's a clip of some of each, circa 1979, soaring, soothing, bluesy guitar work, tarus pedals, synth, bass, and drums by good friends from the old days. Actually I ran the lights, drove the truck, and did drum tech for this band.
I can still see in my minds eye these riffs being played at 3 in the morning, ending their show, in some smoke filled night club, audience swaying to the music in purple & white lighting......and me trying to keep up with the lighting console after 30 drinks.

So my recent fetish is this idea scratching in my brain, can't quite verbalize it. Imagine a two door coupe, flat black. Black steel wheels, nothing fancy. ******* huge engine. Not something hopped up and wild, just freaking big. I remember reading about an old fellow in Bowling Green who ran nothing but Oldsmobiles, had a huge old '62 with a 400+ cubic inch V8 in it, had less than two grand in the car and would run 11s. An older Rambler with a 401 would be boss, but translating that into import doesn't work.

Me either. Couldn't sleep, so played online for a bit. Finally fell asleep at 4, and it felt like about a minute later my alarm was going off.
**** I woke up about 20-30 mins after you went to bed. I sat there and watched some Top Gear on my phone before I finally got up.
Wow I don't have to be at work for another at least 30 mins and I have already been here for 30. :lolol:

This weather does not help. And everyone at work is sick, so I'm trying to avoid them all!

Yea there was two wrecks that I passed coming into work and I know of two more that was slowing down the traffic around me. It just sucks.
I am not sure if my co-workers are sick but I do know that my parents are sick, so it is just a matter of time :(

Yea I do agree my morning could have been worse. Lucky the big as work truck stopped in time :banana:. That would have made my morning suck, otherwise just another day driving in Atlanta traffic in the rain:rolleyes::rolleyes:
