Thanks to Doppelganger he's been able to sort out how we can get in a magazine spread. In order to do so we need some pictures of all together, filling up the place with Miata. So the plan is to meet up at the Sept 20th alignment shindig, and then go off for photo's.

This thread is to let it be known to everyone who doesn't feel like showing up for the alignment part but just wants pictures. So can you say yes or no for a head count.

In terms of photography, anyone with a slr camera can take pictures, this will be a multi camera production, we'll send off the best ones.

If people cannot make this for whatever reason, we could always have a caravan from a Riverside sonic meet where there's always quite a few Miata, and take some pictures somewhere.

The S3 possibility isn't going to be a multi-page ordeal, when they feature a club/group, they just do a single page spread... usually one big group picture and maybe a small pic or two on the side somewhere... and then it gives stats in the group (when organized, members, goals, interests etc...) So don't worry Ben, unless you want to be the front car in a group pic, i don't think you'll have to worry too much about being in the spotlight.... but you can always say later you were there...and have the t-shirt

We'll see how the 20th goes... and we get more people to a Sonic meet later, then so be it (the more the better!)

The white NB on gold painted factory wheels? Why hasn't he joined the board yet?

I believe he did. He showed me a picture of them not too long ago.

Yes, he did buy some Drag wheels. Now we're looking at something to lower it and get rid of the 4x4 status. lol
He's not on here because he does not have internet at his house. That will change soon hopefully.
However, I have confirmed with him that we are in fact coming to this.

Not trying to make fun or anything, but I've honestly never known anyone who doesn't have the internet.. Just shocked me for a minute!

lol That's just the way the world is now. I remember back in the day when my dad and I had the first PC in our old neighborhood in Atlanta (we built it from a kit) and then were the first with the internet.

For Kris, the internet is a luxury that he's doing without to afford some other things right now.

I pay very little attention to mine. I wish everyone around me would get off the damn phone and pay attention to where they drive, where they walk and just the people around them in general. I refuse to talk and drive and if I don't want to hear it, I just turn it off or leave it in the other room. Not a phone person.

We have mine when we're out or traveling so in a way, not much sense in paying for two phones.

I dont do the talk & drive thing either...and I feel like running those who do off the road.
I have been cut off and nearly hit many times at yield signs when some ******* on a cell never even slows OR yields! Sick of that.

No picking on you specifically... but...

This is a problem for so many people, who think that is is like some kinda of birthright to be on the phone 24/7 and not be considerate of the people all around them. Hell, everytime I walk out of my building, there are like 20 people on their phones.. and almost EVERYONE who walks out of the building instantly sticks a phone to their ear. I can't stand it. When I did have a phone, i did use it a lot at home, but when I was out of the house it was more of a 2min conversation to find out where someone was and go meet them. But now people will call someone, find out whats going on and talk the whole way until they reach a destination that requires them to hang up... rather than jsut waiting a bit. I mean really, is it vital to sit on the phone in drive-thru, to walk across the mall, hell, even when we were at the beach there were people waling down the damn beach on their phone!

*/rant*

It's been so nice and peaceful to NOT have a phone, although i'll have one again sometime in the future.

I thought about writing down every time I see someone on their phone make some completely ridiculous and dangerous driving move. They change lanes without looking, of course never use signals because their hands are full, they don't yield, I'd seen people on their phones blow right though stop signs and red lights, a woman the other day was doing about 40 on the interstate because she was so wrapped up in her call, they creep over into your lane and never realize it... ugh.. the list goes on. A few weeks ago, we got behind a car that was having a hard time staying in his lane, we both went to make a turn and he drove over the concrete median (the ones in the middle of the lanes on some on ramps right when you turn on them) and just kept going then as we get on the highway he drops two wheels totally off the road and is just all over the place.. we pass him... I look over and this moron is texting. Really? People like that should not be on the road.

I can't tell you how many times I've had a car come in my lane and almost hit me... I honk and they don't even hear it because, of course, they are on the phone.

Ugh... I need to stop because I get so unbelievably sick of other people endangering me and my property over some stupid phone call. Not to mention the idiots in the stores talking so loud everyone in the whole place can hear them. Oh..and the people who talk while at the table in a restaurant. GET SOME MANNERS.

Don't get me wrong, it's great for emergencies and really, really nice for travel and god for getting rid of the landline and saving money (especially when work pays for it) but I wish people would just calm down a little, relax and hang up. If they would stop driving 40 mph on the highway and walking at a snails pace through the store while yapping, they could just go see the person they are talking to and talk to them in person.

MeFryRice

Although I must admit that I use my phone quite often (mainly text), I am sick of of seeing the younger crowd (16-21 yrs old) always talking on the damn thing while driving. They are more focused in the conversation they are having then driving to where they need to be. I can't say it's just the younger crowd either though but majority of time, it is those in that age group.

Americans (no offense to those on the board and I'm not putting you in this group) are terrible drivers in general and to add something that distracts them even more, is just a terrible idea.

JennB

I loooooooove the lack of driving and talking in Europe. :)

Sawyer

I love my cell phone, but I'm not one of those people who has no consideration for others while I'm on it. I just mainly text during school and at home and never really use it while driving.

I come very close to getting hit by people on their phone almost daily!
