oxidized belt mouldings?

yet again, more body issues thanks to the previous owner.
coming from a volvo, im used to having black vinyl all over the place...thus, Mother's Back to Black for vinyl, plastic,rubber,etc... i cleaned it routinely and never had fading, cracks, or oxidation speckles.
however on my Miata, its all over the beltmouldings and top of rainrail thing.
anyone know what works or get em replaced?

I used Meguiars Scratch-X and a healthy dose of elbow grease followed by a good do-over with Turtle Wax ICE.

Eventually the moudlings on the tops of the doors will delaminate and replacing them
is the best option. As for around the top Dopple's suggestion or similar should work.
