let the PM's commence...OEM is ok, but i knew the price would be so outrageous to buy them new, i thought CF was a good alternative @ $250.oo/pair on slickauto.net
you must have a candy shop of miata **** huh?

Hmm...youre NB right?
I need to look...its possible I may only have one side or the other on that.
I cant remember. I'll check though. You need both sides?
And yes, new oem is EXPENSIVE...something like $150+ each.
Candy shop? More like junk shop.

Full of bull**** scammers....both on buying and selling end.
And then waiting around for shipping...emails, jerking around...it all sucks.
I never buy anything there I can possibly find local or otherwise, even if it
costs a bit more. In the long run its cheaper.
I have done much biz there in the past...but only when there were not other
means.
Plus, I am oldskool, a business relationship with another enthusiast is more
important to me then 'saving' $5 or $10. Its the big picture that counts. It amazes me
how retarded some people are. You can hook them up with hard to find pieces
at a fraction of normal used cost once or several times even, then another time they need something offer them a $20 part which they will pass on because its "$5 less on Ebay".....thats truly idiotic. They actually lose on that, just too stupid to realize it.

I looked. I only have the left side power mirror for NB, thats driver side.
I have silver or blue.
PM if you have any further interest.
I used to sell these only as pairs but one of the local race guys needed the
passenger side...so he bought one....twice! I recall that now. Too many fender
benders at RA.

For what it is worth I think carbon fiber should be used where you can save weight over using stock. I would think mirrors would save you nothing.
The manual mirrors are so damn light I couldn't believe it when I replaced one recently.

The ONLY reason I would ever put these on my car (and I have been thinking about it) is to cut down on aerodynamic drag at the track. The stock mirrors have a pretty big surface area and i'd imagine at high speeds, probably produce a decent amount of drag.

im doing this b/c of price
not aerodynamics
of course the improvement would be minimal if any
i checked around and the OEM ones are outrageous

Hey, don't hate on the spaceship egg. That Yamaha built engine will outlast most anything on the road. :)
In any case, yes, that's my car on SlickAuto's website. I really like those mirrors. The view is very good out of them and the anti-glare coating does a good job of dimming the headlights of cars behind you. Not to mention they fit the look of our cars much better IMO.
