I know the demand for bodykits on Miatas are not very high, but in case someone wants one, or knows someone who wants one, I'm trying to help a friend sell his.

AIT Racing Body Kit for 99-00 Miatas. It is a replica of the Garage Vary body kit.
The front bumper is compatible only with 1999-2000 Miatas, however the side skirts and rear bumper are compatible with 1999-2005 Miatas.
AITs asking price is $750, normal retail is about $595,and eBay is around $500.
Asking price is $350 obo.
Local pickup is very much preferred for ease, but will ship at buyer's expense.

Thanks LB, and the actual seller is someone I work with, and he lives in Newnan. However, I am able to go get the kit and meet up in the event that someone wants to buy it.

maybe i'd buy the front bumper only and side skirts. kinda only want the front bumper. any chance you would sell only those? and $350 your best offer?

If you get just the front and side skirts, then the rear will look "naked" compared to the rest of the car.

He wants to sell it as a whole kit, so it's a must that it all go at once.

He'll drop the price by $100 to sell it now. $250 takes it.

just curious how hard would this be to paint and look really good. Or would it be better to take to a pro. If so how much do you think this would cost? and how well does this kit fit. any body work required?

Pretty much a professional is recommended for any body kit paint/install. Depends on how much you feel you know how to do. Cost depends on where you take it and how much time they invest in it.
As far as fitment, it's supposed to be a direct install affair, but there is no guarantee on this. It's in perfect shape, so everything should be good to go.

i would like to buy the kit but i was wondering if you could sell it for $200. i could drive to you to pick it up if that helps.

No, he won't take less. We're already at half of eBay which has the lowest price, it's a lot less than what he paid so he's already losing money, and you don't have to pay shipping fees. And if you buy it at this price, it's only courteous to come get it.

ok $250. But so you know it sounded like you would be meeting someone halfway to give it to them. I was not trying to low ball you.

I was willing to meet for delivery, however, that was pre-price drop. However, you're not a world away as some people have been, I still will be willing to meet for delivery on the southside of Atlanta.
When is convenient?

Wednesday sounds good, my plans for tomorrow are sort of up in the air at the moment. It will be after 5pm (work Mon-Fri until 5 or so), we might want to aim for an after rush hour time.

I will think of a location between now and then.

did you come up with a place and time?

I don't want to put you through rush hour traffic tomorrow afternoon, so sometime in the evening is better. This will be a little north of what I said, but I don't like the areas around the south 285 area.
Want to meet at the Varisty in downtown around 8pm?

just don't think i could fit the even half the kit in the miata

RotorNutFD3S
11-18-2008, 04:04 PM
Yes, the one that overlooks 75/85.

And no, the kit does not fit inside the Miata easily, besides, it's in it's box.

ok cool. i guess its a good thing i can go grab my parents van. the only other choice is a Dodge neon (probrably not big enough). See you there at 8pm.

RotorNutFD3S
11-18-2008, 05:14 PM
Nope, the Neon would not cut it.
I just picked it up, and I had to move the rear most seats out of the way and swivel the middle captain's chairs to a rear facing position to make it fit. So if you can take the rear seats out, definitely suggest doing so unless they lay completely flat.
See you tomorrow evening.
