Anybody headed down to Hampton Feb 18-19? Tracks Unlimited is promising over 3.5 hours track time each day. More info at http://tracksunlimited.net/events/feb2012ams/

Running at AMS would be a good experience in the Miata. In the FC, not so much as the transition from oval to infield is a bit much for a car with under 1" of ride height.

You'll be amazed how steep the banking is if you've never been there in person.

Over half of that track would feel like 285 in a stock powered miata. Needs a chicane between turns 2 and 3 for betterness.

I actually think it will be the best of both worlds. Supercharged no lift action on the banked oval mixed with some chicanery in the infield + 3.5 hours a day. Hell yes! Rode in a van and drove a cup car down there in November. Those banks are much steeper than they appear. Really looking forward to this.

This looks like a brilliant track day - out of town that weekend but I'll definitely keep an eye on the tracksunlimited group. I think I lost their bookmark in a browser switch at some point.

It's Saturday and Sunday. You can sign up for both or either.

I'll be really interested in the prices they put out for the Atlanta Motorsports Park. Everything so far has been prohibitively expensive.
