Hey how is everyone doing. I'm new to miata ownership and also new to forums lol. I bought a mystery blue 96 miata a couple weeks ago. I think it was resprayed at Maaco or something. It has a few really good upgrades on it already. I have a hard dog roll bar, flyin miata frame rails, H&R springs, Tokico illumina adjustable shocks, a body color garage vary lip, and a brand new set of Motegi SP10s. I must say this is by far the best car I've ever bought. Oh and I've also done a custom cat back system that really sounds nice.

Well tonight (because I live in a Harper Lee novel) our coffee shop burned to the ground. Seriously, I can't make this **** up.

Dude, griffin is in the ****ter now! That was the heart and soul of that town!
Ok, I'm making that **** up, mainly because I've never been, or will ever visit that town.

Believe it or not Griffin is becoming cool. We now have 7 bars, 2 nightclubs, a brew pub, and a hookah bar. Not to mention none of the corporate stuff ever comes here so when I get my Italian food it's made by a man with an accent, not a 17 year old at Olive Garden. Our downtown area has three awesome auditoriums from the early 1900's which have been renovated and are booked with one of two local theater groups. We have street artist now for ****'s sake. They just recently opened a local's only farmer's market and this year there are 4 music festivals and 2 beer festivals planned (one of which will be the grand opening of our new Bier Garten).
The bad reputation actually worked out for us, it kept the corporate stores and yuppies out and instead gave us an abundance of young people, hip shops, locally owned restaurants, and a bar for every person's taste without the overcrowding other places are dealing with. Sure, it's still technically a ****hole, but that's changing fast.

Nice looking car...welcome to the site! Griffin is where my mom grew up so I used to go there all the time as a kid. All we did was go to the "sock shop" where you could get blemished socks & the like for really cheap. Since there were 7 kids in my family (yes, I'm the youngest) my mom really needed the savings!

Amazing fun transformation
Sounds like some gays moved into your town. More specifically, some bears.
Beware... all it takes is one real-estate money-mary to visit and tell their friends about the rustic-ness and you'll have more pottery barns and yuppie-nannys than you can shake a stick at.
Oh...
Hi Roadster, welcome to the site!!

Looks a little different now. ASA AR1 16x7 with 215 tires. Robbins cloth tan top, TSI, tow hooks, red valve cover and a trunk rack. Will get pictures this week of the changes, but for now...

^^^It did look killer, it was a real GV lip and a road gator took it out last week :( Now he has a black touge run lip so it won't shatter.
