What does everybody else DD? After having my first Miata as a primary driver, the impracticality of it started to wear on my nerves a bit. At the same time, I decided I wanted something fast (blame it on the day job) and bought a 96 Mustang GT. It was always broken and I missed the Miata terribly. The Mustang went up for sale. But it was time for a different approach.

Got this 1997 Ranger. 2.3 4 cyl, extra cab, 5 spd, only 87k miles on the clock, nice sound system, meticulously cared for. 28-29 mpg if driven nicely. The practicality and insurance it provides is invaluable. Saved up and bought the BRG Miata on the side. It gets to be purely a toy now.

Post your daily drivers!

Define "daily"... the first couple were taken about a month ago in Birmingham HAHA.
2003 Laz0r Blue Mazda Protege 5, I/H/E, Mazda MP3 ECU, Tein S-Techs, 16x7 Flik FTDs, Mazdaspeed Protege rear sway. She's a kick in the pants for a daily, as an autoxer, well, she's a bit out of her element, but still fun to throw around :)

Pre-S-Techs, she's actually on Mazdaspeed Protege springs in this one. The stance is a little off, but the handling was nice. The S-Techs handle better, and the stance is awesome :D

Since i have had my license, i've had 2-seat cars, so having a Miata for a DD isn't a problem. The only time it has been is when i have had to transport wheels and tires to different places. I found that i can fit 6 mounted wheels in the Miata carefully.... with the top town.

^^ I've been the same way. The only car that had rear seats were the M3's but no one ever rode in the back. :)

Mine is my daily. I've always had small cars, never had a four door and I like it that way. I'm not one to carry around a bunch of crap and if I need to, that's what rentals are for. I have no desire to own anything bigger.

I need to work on getting a bigger garage so I can get an FD as my second car.

This is my DD I've had lots of difrent cars mostly VW GTi's. My wife has a Saab 95 wagon so between the both of us we're good till the baby comes and she tells me I need something else to drive.

Don't bother unless its an M3 Convertible, you'll be miserable and end up talking the wife into letting the baby ride in a new Miata...ask me how I know...

My miata is a my dd, I'm envious of those who can turn theirs into a track car. Although I would feel particularly bad pulling apart such a good condition Miata.

This is the only picture I seem to have in my web storage of cars other than the miata. This is my wife's 01 626, which I drive more than she does. She drives my 08 accord sedan (can't find any pictures of it) most of the time... that doesn't make any sense, does it?

I just noticed that the official BFH mini sledge hammer is sitting on the rolling chair... not sure what I was doing with that!

I'm waiting for metalman to post a picture of his driveway full of miata...

Who said you have to pull a car apart to be a track car? You can still have a full interior, a/c, heat and all of those other things that ricers take out for weight savings:D Seriously, if i ever had the money to make a full blown "race car", i'd leave most of that stuff in... because i'd know i'd be driving it on the street too banana.... just add more power to offset the weight difference!

I think he was poking fun at me for gutting mine.

I don't really think of Colin Chapman as a "ricer". :P For some reason I just don't care about having creature comforts in my fun-only car. I like the drive alone. If it's cold, I'll wear a jacket. The engine is the music. And heat...I'll sweat. I've never had a car with AC so it's no big deal.

I had no idea that everybody drove their 2 seaters daily. That's cool as hell though.

If your wife has a Saab wagon, why do you need something else to drive. You can probably get 3-4 kids in the wagon and the overflow can go in the trunk of the Miatabanana

My daily when I bought it a year ago....love this car. 540 v8 with Dinan uprades. Super fast and just raw. Also love the 6spd and has 4 doors. These pics really remind me that I need better pics of this car as these dow not show off the stance correctly.

Needs a new clutch now and just grabbed a new flywheel last week. Talk about EXPENSIVE.

My Miata is (normally) my daily driver.
Right now I'm stuck in a 1992 Toyota Previa. Talk about persuasion to get the car done!

 unlucky with the Previa, my family and I became rather acquainted with one when we were moving country's.

That 540 is a beaut, I've always had a huge amount of respect for those cars and could easily see myself with one someday.

I have a 93 accord coupe with 90k on it. it was cherry until I got tagged by a hit and run at a intersection, real minor damage though. I need to take some pics of it.
