Some facts on the 14 cylinder version:

Total engine weight: 2300 tons (The crankshaft alone weighs 300 tons.)
Length: 89 feet
Height: 44 feet
Maximum power: 108,920 hp at 102 rpm
Maximum torque: 5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm

Sounds kinda freaky, huh? Click the link, then you too will understand. :D

If that had crank walk there would be a HUGE problem, including dead people.

lol@crankwalk.

Don't remind me that I have a 4G63 in the garage.

And we thought our timing belt changes were rough...

Best reply yet, on another forum:

And 5,608,312 lb/ft? How do you measure that? Seems like it'd just pick up the building the dyno is in and throw it across town.

On another note, I want to see the turbochargers the article mentions...

I don't even think the connecting rod studs would fit in a Miata...
I think a Miata would fit in one cylinder of that beast though!

That's utterly insane.

I think a head bolt is bigger then a Miata.

I wonder how all that tq would feel....

Any idea as to what the motor is powering?

wtf? These came out of left field....i remember seeing these pics like 5 yrs ago

I think the design of a 2-piece rod is rather cool/strange...but the ladders going down into the crankshaft area are killin' me :D

Have a Chinook helicopter hovering up and down to crank the bolts.
