December 18th is the last auto-x of the year in the mid ga region. Here's the site, http://mgascca.org/. I went to the last event and it was a lot of fun talking to people and watching different cars and different styles of driving. I didn't drive in that event, but I plan to this month. Just thought I'd spread the word.

I don't think so. There was definitely a silver mazdaspeed 3, so I assume that was you. I was talking to John Holliday, I'm pretty sure he brought you up and your car though. Car looked pretty good going around the cones

first place..2nds fastest time overall..only got to do 5 runs out of my 8 though so i'm sure i would have gotten faster if i would have had more runs after lunch once it heated up..mostly everyone else got faster as the day went on

Now that I'm getting my miata back I hope to be there. It will depend on whethe I have orders to ship that weekend or not but I hope to be back in Macon that weekend. It will be nice to see some of the old timers from the region if any still come out. I just looked at the registration site and really hope I can since my car is still the one on the scca's banner. Lol

Nice, congrats! Are you planning on running this time with the 3 or mx5?

You could say that. Lol My shop ran the SCCA chapter for two years and got the SCCA drift series going. I haven't been to an event in nearly two years since I moved to Florida and joined the Army but since I'll be in town that weekend I'll bring black Betty by and break her back in properly.

The silver one we had was the fastest but I held my own in the "lesser" car. It's nothing crazy but me and the car had a good relationship and she did anything I asked as long as I asked nicely. Lol

Compared to where they were before? A million times better. Compared to some of the lots the Atlanta region is fortunate enough to have access to? No. But for a novice / first timer, it's fine. Hard on tires though.

its great for a novice..you get 8 runs and when jay does the courses they can get pretty technical haha.. we also manage to usually have 50-70 seconds courses on such a small place..the size is not huge but it being basically a dead even square gives a lot of options for course layout

and as he said..not very good on tires compared to other places

Which jay is setting up the courses? If jay parcon is setting them up the courses will be a lot of fun.

Hey guys which cars came down for this? I had to work today so couldn't drive, but I was there for a bit on my bike taking pics.
I'm guessing it would be the flock of Miata's  Not likely the 996 or Noble

Ha, no, then again, the Noble driver would probably learn a thing or two following a Miata around the track!
One of the Miata locking it down when the Noble went wide, missed the finish gate and about drove back across the course!
