What would be a good roll bar for my NA that is scca approved? I was looking into the Hard Dog Ace. Any thoughts?

I would not recommend the ace. It seems too small to be effective. The sport bars seem like the best option for most people. If your concerns are head clearance and being SCCA legal then I would go for one of the hardcore bars. It really depends on what you plan on doing with the car that influences the decision between a sport or hardcore bar.

Gotcha, I know that the hardcore bars are SOLO I legal, but there are other SOLO classes as well right? Im not planning on doing any real serious tracking in the car, but definitely autocross and NASA if they are in town. Are NASA requirments the same for SCCA?
Thanks for the input, greatly appriciated
Roll bars are useless dead weight for autocross

Truth be told, the only time I think I've been able to pass a broomstick test, has been with the race seat in the Miata. So if you don't plan on doing a full seat setup you'll never be fully track legal for SCCA/NASA events. But if you're events are ranging from autocross to the occassional trackday at tally then you're fine with whatever you prefer, there aren't really any safety regulations. Although if you do plan on some serious stuff, then I think the hardcore is the only that would pass out of those you mention.

roll bar and hardtop is legal right? broomtest is only if your run top down.

sure, but that's a self imposed 75# penalty for AX

If you are just planning on doing autocross for now then no bar will be the best for performance, but if you want a roll bar for the sake of having one, then you will have to work out which one you want.
If you think you might do track days in the future and you are going to purchase a bar, then go with one of the hardcore bars.
