Hi MX5 Atlanta!

I am an architecture student, and just sold my first car, a '94 Nissan Altima, which was on the verge of death. I bought my 1995 Miata this past weekend and already I am in love! It is black with a tan roof and black interior. The engine runs perfectly and it is so much fun to drive! It is an automatic, I know the 5 speed is preferred, but that's what I have :)

I am very excited to be part of this community! As a very new MX5 owner, I would love any help regarding maintenance, repairs, accessories, or anything else.

Charlotte
( Also I haven't stopped smiling since i test drove it :D)

Welcome to the forum! Looks like a nice car but it really needs those wheels scrubbed clean. ;)

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, I have cleaned the wheels since the picture :) I'm waiting until the weekend to give it a good wash and wax! The interior looks very nice though, need a picture of that..

The mileage is about 145,300, and I got it for a little over 4,000. Seems a little high, but it was in the best condition mechanically of any that I saw by FAR. The engine performs wonderfully.

The car is pretty much stock, but has a few things replaced. The top is in great condition, and has a glass window. Though it's in the down position every chance i get :)

As for my plans, I would like to fix some of the dents, there is one on the front bumper which I've been told will probably come out with some heat applied to the back of it. There is a pretty ugly dent on the edge of the trunk which has been painted but may just need to just be replaced, though I'm not sure how much that will cost. I am currently trying to decide on what new speakers to get, as the driver's side and the headrest speakers are blown. The head unit that it came with is pretty nice though, so I think I'll keep that for now.

I would love suggestions on what else to do! (Keeping in mind I'm a college kid with a small budget)

I am also a college kid with a small budget, and it makes it a bit difficult to modify cars, but it can be done!

Welcome! Glad you love the ride...this site is great! Shoot me a PM before you do anything with the speakers. I have a garage full of audio gear & I wouldn't mind helping a college student out if you would like. I have a decent pair of door speakers that I think would plug right in...I'll even put 'em in for ya. See, told you this site is great. :)
