Ok, I've made a few posts on here already, but I figured I'd "formally" introduce myself. :P

I bought my very first car, a Miata! (It's not my FIRST car, but the first one I've ever bought.) I got a red 1990 na, and I love her! But she's already been through a lot. Bought her a few months ago, and after a few weeks, the transmission got stuck in reverse, so I figured I'd go ahead and just get a new tranny in there. Then, about 5 days after that, she got hit by a drunk driver. :cry: Anyway, she's been in the shop since then (been about 3 weeks),

BUT.... They are fixing everything, AND I get a new paint job. :D

I never got a chance to take great pictures of her, but here's a few.
(When I bought it, it already had the wheels, s2000 antenae, etc...)

Crazy adventure so far it seems! There is a field fix to pop your transmission out of being stuck in reverse, just so you know. It doesn't require a new transmission, although there's no guarantee it won't get stuck again (but then you know how to fix it lol).

Yeah, we tried popping it back in, but I figured it would happen again and I didn't want to be stranded / have to tow it again, so I just replaced it with a newer one.

As for the damage / it not being totaled..... They valued the car so high, I'm not even asking them any questions until they get done with it, lol. :X

Thanks everyone! I know this is late, but my car is still in the shop, a month later... I'm going up there today to give 'em the business... aka beg for them to finish my car :(

I know you wanted it back to drive it to the meet (good to meet you BTW!). They do seem to be dragging their feet on this repair. I hope it's not because you are a she...I hate it when shops do that.
