The Official Signature Image Walkthrough!

The only way to have an image in your signature is to upload the image into your User CP. The reasoning behind this is to keep the image sizes automatically regulated and so that we don't have slow page-load issues because of larger files.

To upload your signature image, click on "User CP" at the top left of the toolbar. Look down the column on the left hand side of the screen and find the "Edit Signature" link. (Or simply go here: http://www.mx5atlanta.com/forums/profile.php?do=editsignature). At this point, I'm sure everyone can figure out what to do to upload your image.
After the image is uploaded, right click on the image, and copy the image location. The format will look like this: http://www.mx5atlanta.com/forums/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=104&dateline=1233201569 Have no fear, the forum will recognize this URL with the correct BBCode tagging.

There are two options for your signature images from this point:

1. You simply want the image to show up with no text at all.
In the signature text box simply type .

2. You want to type text and have your image appear.
Type the text you want and insert the image by typing http://www.mx5atlanta.com/forums/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=104&dateline=1233201569.

Then click save and you're all done.

I think it would be a great feature to have. Maybe add a "Can edit signature" checkbox to the users options. That way, if they violate the signature guidelines, that priviledge could be taken away. I would use that a lot.

You can edit your signature almost any way you want, you just have to use the image that is loaded into your User CP.
