Probably for drifting.

From what ive seen, its hard to get more steering angle out of the miata because it the wheelbase is so short. You can get more power but it just gets you more speed drifting than steering angle.

There are plenty of people that went to a longer car like a 240 or to a 350 Z G35 coupe to do drifting from a miata so that they can get those style points because of the steering angle.

You can get spacers or custom tie rods/ends. That's pretty much it.

Look on miata drift forum. Their is a guy who modifys you knuckles for like 300 for insane angle

im running iconcept tie rods and spacers and super now ends. i added bout 20 DEGREES of steering angle....it take alittle to get use too but once i got it down i was going in fast with deep angle and leaving 240 guys in awe
