The guys takin crap bombs from the Cali crowd, but this car looks to have the original R stripe kit, may be an actual R, what I do know is it's a pretty car and at a $4500 asking price with New Timing belt, water pump, new clutch and belts, other than a bad battery you are covered for the next 100k miles. I'm up for a road trip to buy it! If you get this for less than $4000 I won't talk to you the whole way back from Indiana you can email the guy at his email: adtharp@gmail.com.45474548

Saw that, was tempted. I wonder about rust if it's been a northern car though.
EDIT:
From the seller --
There is rust, it is not a southern car, I'm sorry to say that. If it
was completely cherry I would be asking a lot more. There is a small
rust spot over the back left wheel well (small, maybe dime sized) and
then there is the usual rocker rust. Other than that it is pretty
good, a small dent over the back right wheel well, but no frame or
body rust. Looks great and drives better.

I looked but couldn't find the thread/for sale ad. I don't know of these "crap bombs" being thrown by Cali guys but if that car is from the rust belt I'd pass for that price. I'd want to see the VIN if it's being touted as an R package from '96. I need to put my '90 up for sale if this is what a rusty car goes for.

He didn't tout it as anything, I just noted the R stripe that was on the car. The car is in Indiana, and apparently has succumbed to rust, There's a guy in Eastern PA asking similar money for a car with significant rust in the rockers and quarter panels. Having grown up in the North East, I was unaware that rust free cars existed, until I arrived in Northern California in 1986, having just come over the Rockies through Colorado and Nevada I arrived in "The Land that Rust Forgot". My head kept spinning around, saying to my girlfriend at the time "The was an F+cking 72 Datsun!" That's a 66 Mustang, That's a 55 Chevy!!!! And NONE OF THEM HAVE RUST!??!" Blew my mind as every car in New England had dissolved in ten to twelve years max. I forget now, that cars still get rusty.lol.
