2000 BMW 540i M Sport 6-speed

Up for sale is my old daily driver. I sold it to my father in-law about five years ago and he has asked me to sell it for him.

2000 540i, 6-speed, black with tan leather, 185k miles, loaded with everything except navigation. The car is in very good condition and has been adult owned its entire life(with the exception of me, who is about 9 yrs old mentally).

I had a clutch put in around 100k miles by My Mercedes and Bimmer place in Cumming due to the pressure plate failing.
Within the last 3k miles the car received four brand new tires, and a oil change. Mobil 1 synthetic has always been used.

Upgrades include:
-Dinan stage 4 Software, high flow throttle body, and high flow air flow meter. These items were $2500 back in 2005.
-M5 muffler
-Newer style taillights (mid run change on the e39).
-Tinted side marker lights on the front fenders.
-Tinted windows.
-Slotted, cross drilled rotors

A quick search brought up similar cars without the Dinan upgrades from $7500 up to $10500.

Oh now that's a hell of a nice car, and hey if the motor ever goes, you can get the 4.0 alumisul motors , the second series way cheap now, like under a grand out of low mileage wrecks. This was definitely one of the cars I was looking for before I got the M3.

Wish I had the dough, cause I would love a 5 series as a daily, especially a 6 speed. GLWS!

I have racked my brain over the last week trying to figure out a way to make this car fit in my life again. It just won't, too nice to be a track rat, and not big enough to haul the kids around. FML, should have bought the 540 wagon.

I was going through the records last night and found the receipt for the Dinan upgrades. They are Stage 4 and include, engine software, high flow throttle body, and mass air flow.
Cost $2500 back in '05.

Bump with a price drop, don't make me turn this car into a track car folks, its getting real tempting. This car was nearly 60k new.
