GLWS i wasnt familiar with "cafe racer" but after a little googling it came to me "OH those!!!" is that bike 2 stroke or 4 stroke? my father brags about his father's (my gramps') 900cc 2 stroke that he almost killed himself due to sheer acceleration and a tree. had to climb back up the handle bars... lol.. i cant grasp what a 2 stroke on a bike would be like with more than 250cc..

This is such a bad temptation. I really want to start motorbiking... but know that it's such a bad idea considering my area/circumstances.
This is a beaut, love it!

900 2 stroke? Pretty sure they never made one...largest 2 stroke Ive seen is a 500cc or 750cc. I could be wrong though. This one is a four stroke 650. :) Yeah 2 strokes are insane. The old Kawasaki H2s were 750 2 strokes. They were rediculous and soon named Widowmakers because they were prone to wheelies and high speed wobble...as well as the occasional frame giving way under full throttle. XD <- I really REALLY want and H2. :)

There was a psychedelic H2 on Bring a Trailer about three months ago...called it a widowmaker.lol. I think Jack is a bit afraid of learning to ride while driving on the wrong side of the road (he's a Brit as well as our founder and site owner) and driving to work in Midtown. He has a point, I drive there a couple times a week, and have near misses nearly every time I go there in my car. Better he should try riding around the 'Burbs where his folks live on the weekends for a while, but hey Jack these old two strokes are old enough now, you could probably get it into the British Isles and drive it without spending three times it's worth on insurance, and it's small enough, that you could ship it back over for less than a grand. There are good reasons that bikes went 4 stroke, but none of which had anything to do with fun. This bike ROCKS!!

I remember watching the AMA motocross at the GA.D and a 4 stroke was out there. it was strange at the time because you had 50+ riders all on high pitched high revved 2 strokes and here comes along a single deep throaty 4 stroke. i'd love to just get to see a 750cc 2 stroke... sure i can ride a dirt bike.. but that sounds too much... may as well get a something in the 1400cc range. one good thing (the only good thing) that happened when the AMA went to 4 stroke, was the smog isn't a big problem now.
i know they're girly but i've been thinking about getting a NEW 250cc sportbike. i dont think they cost much and seem like a lot of fun.

The newest 250s are good, but the main problem with most bikes under 550cc is highway speeds. Hell even on my old 550 at 70mph it was at around 6rpm in 6th gear. On the other hand my 750 daily will run 90mph at 6200rpm in 5th gear. The smaller it is Itll just rattle you around and make everything numb haha.
