these wheels have been growing on me for quite sometime now. and since they are so cheap, i thought id see if i could find some, i guess they are cragar wheels, or even the american racing version would work, any one know where to get them? looking for a 15x8 size with a low offset

been checking summit racing, but they never have the right bolt pattern.

atleast theyre not xxr or sportmax (no offense to owners of those wheels)

heres a pic

I think you're lucky you put that disclaimer in your post.

I've seen those around before, the other wheels that seem to be gaining a lot of interest lately are the Diamond Racing Wheels. They look somewhat similar, they're inexpensive, and you can make them any way you want.

thats them! i couldnt think of the name. and i like sportmax wheels, but they really are on EVERY car i see. and i just couldnt stand having them.

lol and you were the first to come to mind when i wrote that ;) no homo

 Right...

Yeah, they have gotten a lot more popular lately, although not so much down here, which is fine by me. They came with the car so not my fault for having them, they're so inexpensive that I don't mind daily driving on them because if I were to accidentally curb the crap out of them or something, it wouldn't hurt my feelings as much. I even pulled the fake rivets off and they look a ton better without them, and different too.
But it's ok, my nice wheels will probably be a set of 6UL(R)s... someday... after I recover from this never-ending build.

 yeahh..

i hear you man, if all doesnt go well, ill probably get sportmax wheels, thats why i try to keep my hating of them down, cause they do have a few nice sets of wheels and yes they are cheap enough that curbage is not a huge issue as with some higher dollar wheels.

Whoever has Sportmaxes.... j/k Eric! (But for reals... let me try them on sometime on my Miata ;)

back to topic... Ya, diamond racing wheels would look sweet on your car DeeRock. Or you could paint a set of sportmax all black.

^^ thats what i was thinking, but id like to try some on first too!

and thanks! all i gotta do is find a set for sale...or i guess just call diamond racing and see how much it would be for a custom set.

 If anyone wants to see how they look on your car, be my guest. Either come down here to me, or wait until the car is back on the road. :D

No problem.
Since the car is down, and will be for a bit, it can work one of two ways. 1. You can come get them from me now and try them out for say a week or so. A deposit of your wheels so I can roll the car around is necessary (if you have steelies, stock wheels, etc., the deposit will be something you value as well, lol), while agreeing (and signing to) that if you trash the wheels or the practically new tires, you replace them.
Or you can try them after I get the car running, but you won't get to keep them longer than it takes to see what they look like on the car and maybe drive around on them for an hour or two. Regular width/offset wheels look funny on my car now. lol

Sorry Deerock...not a fan of those wheels. Too many years of seeing
them on 4WD trucks I guess.

I got a set of custom Diamond Racing Wheels built 2 years ago - 13x9 with 5 inch backspacing for my CSP CRX. The whole set, custom made, with tax, shipped, cost a grand total of - are you ready for this - less than $400! I've still got them too, and a set of Kumho V700s, that would be great for a 1.6 Miata. If anyone is interested in them, let me know (I know, I know...wrong section! I'll post a FS thread at some point).

Diamonds are great as long as you remember two things: 1) they are steel, 2) they are heavy! A lot of folks feel like the weight estimates they give on their website are conservative, and that the wheels actually weigh a bit more.

Personally, for a 15x8 I would go with the Sportmaxes. As much as people hate on those wheels, I think the 002s look really good (Eric's Miata is about the best looking one I've ever seen...well, I've never actually "seen" it...does that car even exist? Maybe Eric is just a really nice Previa driver?). If you want something wider, like a 15x9 or 15x10, then Diamond would be a great option.

Damn. It was only a matter of time before someone figured it out...

If you are real baller, you'd get custom JLINE wheels...15x10  IIRC they're about $550/wheel...which is still less than a set of Volks.

What about some CCW Classics?

CCW can do 15s? I've never seen CCWs that small.

The JLINEs are hot though...

I have seen ONE set of CCW's in 15's. They are on a Civic on Honda-Tech.

What about some CCW Classics?

The formula of $2500 rims on a $1500 car usually doesnt work.
The CCWs are great looking but over priced IMHO.
