Here's where I'll keep the progress of my '90. When I bought it in March of 2010, it came with 79K miles and all the paperwork dating back to the original purchase. Everything on it was stock except for the Clarion head unit thrown in (but it came with the factory radio too). I'm the third owner, and right now it's sitting with 91K.

So I guess I'll start with a list of stuff done so far.

Exterior
New top: black vinyl, glass window, non defrost.
Tint: 20% on sides, 35% on back/triangles.
Painted the stock wheels black
Tinted side markers/turn signals
Rattlecan racing stripe lol
Black grille
Foglights mounted in the mouth
New taillights

Interior
Redline center console covers: black with white stitching
Shift/ebrake boot: black with white stitching
Aluminum a/c rings
Lokar shift ring
White LED interior lighting
Diamond pleated door panels
Teardrop speaker panels
Homemade switchbox: toggles control the headlamp lids, hazards & foglights
Shift knob made from a real 8 ball

Sound
Pioneer DEH 3200UB head unit
Kicker 6.5" KS600 speakers
(2) 4" cheapo speakers in each HR
Aura pro bass shakers in the seats
Kenwood KAC-something-or-another amplifier

Engine
K&N panel air filter
DIY Randall intake

Everything else is stock, for now.

Soon to come/in the mail
Vindi's ducktail spoiler
100mm TRAP front lip
Shifter rebuild kit (new bushings/boots etc).
Pedobear/tricycle "fwd sucks" sticker (+10 hp)

Eventually
Megan EZ street coilovers
Full Racing Beat exhaust (headers, connecting pipe & muffler)
Black 6UL wheels (15x7 +36)
Simpson Design cowl hood
New paint job (white): that 20 year old paint is peeling bad...
Some powdercoating: hardtop latches/door handles flat black, brake calipers red
Hard Dog M2 sport rollbar: no diagonal, just the side bracing

My dad and I had a '67(?) Triumph TR-250 back in the day and even though we had it for only two years or so, there's still alot of good memories with that thing. The Miata's my daily driver, and I fell in love with auto-x last January. That said, the direction I want to take with the car is to have a classy, old school sports car feel that can be driven daily and hold it's own at the auto-x courses.

Anyways, here's some pictures:

(I changed the bulbs to green to match the rest of the lighting)

(I tinted the lenses on the foglights. I always thought they looked like buckteeth, but I love them in there. So now you can only see them when they're on)

Sorry for the lack of detailed pictures. These are just spur of the moment ones, and the interior's not fully finished anyways. Once I get that put back together I'll take some nicer ones.

Thanks :) They're not 'true' lazy eyes though. The switch I wired to replace the headlamp push button is a DPDT on-off-on switch, meaning if I time it right, I can stop the headlamps from rising at the halfway point. Takes a couple tries though

You got me
There's a story behind that picture I never bothered to tell anyways. My friend and I were waiting on these two cars to leave the spot we were at, so in the meantime she started taking random pictures of things, and one of them happened to be me waiting on the hood of my car.

Nah I've never been in a parade in this car. Which one were you thinking about? Apparently there's another white Miata with a back stripe in my town that's been popping up recently....I haven't seen it though.

Here's some updates from today.
My shifter rebuild kit came in the mail today. It's got all brand new bushings, washers, and rubber boots. So I started by taking my shifter out of the transmission:

Turns out the plastic bits were somewhat in OK condition. The rubber boots though...they were another story.

Here it is all put together. I also laid down a coat of flat black on the shifter itself to cover up some scratches it had.

I started changing the valve cover gasket today, too. I figured while the VC was off, I'd paint it. I spent about three hours cleaning off all the grease, oil, gasket bits and stains on it before I sanded it down and coated it with etching primer. I then hit it with a coat of white. It's not the finished product though. There's some details I'm going to do to it that'll make it look good instead of just "lol I spraypainted my valve cover."

Fixed the photobucket issue. Also got the lip fitted today. I absolutely love it.

Also, I got bored and made some window switches just for shiggles. Now my windows move a little faster as the old switches were clogged with carbon deposits.

Finally got the radio bezel done. Now it's time to save for a good paint job and then the real fun begins (coilovers, wheels, header and exhaust).

Vindi's spoiler came in today!!!

These are just shots of the fitment (which is spot freaking on by the way), I'm gonna keep this thing in my closet until I save up enough money for a paint job; then I'll just let the shop mold it in and paint it with the rest of the car.

I dig the "angry" headlights  I might steal that one from you. What did you use? Just adhesive and vinyl?

If you want to fill in the dark areas on the corners of the turn signals lookup the "twilight" mod. Costs about $6 and is stupid easy.

I just used some electrical tape. It gets messed up from time to time so I wouldn't want to use vinyl....plus it's more of a joke anyways

I'm getting a set of TSIs later on so the turn signal assembly is actually going out the door.
