Loving my new 2010 Miata!

Hi everyone. I am the proud and happy new owner of a 2010 MX-5, which I call my Toycar. It's a lot like riding my motorcycle - everyone else is much bigger than I am.

Hope to meet some other folks lucky enough to be driving Miatas if there are meet-ups in the area. What a fun little vehicle.

Welcome, from an article I read in this month's EVO, the 10's and up have massively improved suspension. The first thing they used to say when you bought the third gen car (NC) was replace the sways and shocks and... not needed here! Nicely done and welcome to our friendly little forum.

Thanks so much for the welcome everyone! WOW, do I love my little "toycar." It is truly so much fun. 'Specially when you squirt around corners then check your mirrors to see where everyone else is.

The only problem I've found with it is I can ONLY go shopping now. I cannot buy anything. Have owned small SUVs for the past 20 years and you can get just about anything in them from dogs to furniture to sheetrock. Now all I can do is fill the trunk with groceries and pile toilet paper on the seat. Ah well.

I thought I posted some pictures. Will go back and see what happened. You know there's a loose screw on my keyboard.

Thanks Lee. Every corner I zip around (then check the mirrors to see where everyone is) puts an even bigger smile on my face.

The little Midget was cozying up to Toycar in the parking lot whispering sweet nothings in her ear. But she would have none of it - he was way too old for her.

BTW, we tried to take on a Mercedes convertible at a light the other day. Well, he made me do it . . . sitting there looking over at us with his dark glasses on. I unfortunately made the "you, me, down the road" gesture to him, then laughed. I told him to have to know your competition and he had way more horses than I did.

The light changed and wouldn't you know it - he took off like a scalded cat! And I was right there with him. He was gaining on me and then he started to brake to make a left onto 285, so he had to slow down and I passed him 'cos I was going straight. I was grinning even more.

Welcome Jackie! I also have a 2010. It's the best and most fun car I've ever owned. You will love it more each time you drive it. Hope you decide to come to the Mitty. It will be my first too. Can't wait.
