What: Tech meet and greet with free pizza and drinks. Dean, the owner of the shop, will be giving a nice tech session on the basics of alignments. If you've ever had any questions about alignments... what is toe? What is camber? What do these things do? What is best for my driving style? He is the guy to ask.

I've had my cars aligned there for as long as I've been in Atlanta... well.. it's not like you have to do it often, a good alignment should last until something messes it up (big pothole) or you change the car (lowering). He does great work. Does work for Ferrari and Porsche and tons of other high end owners and dealerships.


They will be giving away two free alignments that day. Random drawing, name in a hat type thing. Also trying to work out discounts for everyone that shows up even if you don't win the free service.


In case you are wondering why... alignment is very important. You can completely change the handling dynamic of a car with a good alignment. You can decrease tire wear, increase grip, decrease vibration or if your car tends to pull to one side. There are countless benefits for something you have to pay a small price for and it lasts for a long time.


So come out, learn a few things, have some pizza and meet some other Miata owners.

The DragonBall Run is an S2k gathering at Deal's Gap. It's a four day event but will probably only be there for half the time.

According to Mapquest, it's about an 1 1/2 drive but I know with some spirited driving, we can make it in ~1 hour. :D

Ok, my plans changed in the matter of a few seconds.
Kris (white NB) has to work Saturday now. We both work at Yamaha, but he's on the assembly line, and they're behind. I was going to ride up with him, but then my g/f said I could take her car since she's going to Stone Mountain with the family, so I was going to do that. Well, 30 minutes after I ask her and she says it's ok, she texts me back saying they need the car because of too many people going.
So looks like I'm out. The only chance of me going rests on my buddy Mark who was going to convoy with us in his 3rd gen RX-7, but even his plans are in the air.

-Ben, why not put just enough mid-grade in to get you to another gas station? Go look on www.atlantagasprices.com to see what station near you will have premium.... there are a lot of stations in lawrenceville on there.

I think my last count of all the people from various forums I posted the meet in was 28 (including Eric's recent announcement) with about 5 of them being tentative...but several of the people who showed interest posted once...so who knows if they'll remember to show up. Oh, and that number is just cars, i'm assuming some people will be bringing someone with them.

I'd rock it with some mid grade and a gallon of toluene (I have about half a 5 gal mini drum in the garage), but every station I saw had 87 only or nothing.

I guess I probably could put in 87, pull boost control, and kick timing back 3-4 degrees across the spark map... I dunno, still might not be a good idea.

Well, thismorning I had to go get gas. Guess what? Nothing around me had anything buy 87, so I put 1 gal of reg in and went and found a station up the road with 93 and put 6gal in and everything is just fine. I jsut didn't go into boost until i found 93. No biggie.
