New guy in STL

Hey guys,
I am currently up in STL for college, but I'll probably be back next weekend for emissions/title/tag on the miata I just bought. It's a 96 that just ticked past 100k.
I do have a quick question though - my air bag light is on - can I still pass emissions? Thanks. Maybe I'll see some of you then. Cheers.

Welcome! I don't see why not. I normally thought emissions was more due to sniffer tests or obdII check engine light scanners. Be sure to post up a full intro here:

if they test you at all, its obdII, which means they don't test your tailpipe and simply test your engine codes. I don't think the airbag light throws a code so you should be alright.

I think the airbag does issue a code, just go to a dealer and have them clear it

The airbag light does not trigger a CEL code. As long as you have no CEL's then you will pass emissions.
