i think so. I can't get the miata because of my 6month old daughter and no money with lots of bills.
so for now i am researching and learning the miata, (i did that for subaru but i now know i wanted a 2 seater sports car).
when do you all meet ?
and as i said before let me know if anyone need an extra hand mechanically.

Yeah I have a 6 month old son and a lot of bills just trying to keep my miata. Lucky me I have a good wife who doesn't want me to sell my car. It's not the best car to have with a infant unless its a 3rd car take my word for it.

Welcome aboard! Well it might not be the best child seat car, but they are cheap to buy, the early 1.6 cars (lightest and perfect for that V8 swap) are plentiful, and there are lots of good ones in the $2000-3000 range. Buy the best straightest car you can, with the Miata, the body work is more expensive, and a bigger pain to replace than the mechanicals. For instance, buying a perfect bodied car with a blown motor for $500, is a great deal, because motors can be had for under a thousand with low miles from the later cars (Panic sells 00-05 motors with less than 50k on them for around $800+) and the 5 speed transmissions are available from $200 and up. The beauty is that it all fits together like automotive Legos for the most part. You can run a 95 block and internals with a 99-00 head, along with a six speed from an 04 MSM factory turbo car, and stick it into a 91! Wait, that sounds familiar...Oh don't forget the boost!!! It makes a great date night car, and because the insurance company doesn't need to know about turbos, it's cheap to insure as well. The dang things are also tough as nails (We've had a lot of these cars get totalled, mostly in bad weather... but every member of the forum has survived, hell walked away without injury!! We're talking T-boned by an 18 wheeler in one case) and reliable too! Tell the wife to let you have one! It's cheaper than strip clubs, and she'll always know where you are : out in the garage working on the car! Welcome!
