Just found this site and thought i would sign up and see whats going on . A little information about myself .
My name is Erik i currently live in Northern Va .I brought my 1st miata as a drift project that has turned into more . It started as a 1994 Laugna blue base (i think) that the PO decided that it needed a make over using a guard rail . The 1st day i had it i cleaned her up and started to hammer out some of the larger dents to get panels to close or just line up better . I then started to buy some parts they might not of been the high end parts everyone wants but it started to make the car look 10x's better .
The 1st thing i brought was a used OBX header install went pretty smooth and while i was out it i removed the power steering and A/C . Then i installed the manual rack .The OG one was coated in a think layer of old oil and grim . Took about a hour to clean the subframe . Then came the dual beam head lights .They were kinda beat up when i brought them but i made them work with some Cibe fogs as the high beams .
Then i had to get the car lower . So i ordered some of those wonderfull pocket friendly racelands coilovers . This got the car low but it drove like **** so i ordered up some Nb top hats all around . That made the car slightly lower then i needed (sub frame hit everything ) .So it was back up on jack stands to raise it up to a more comfy ride height .
So once i got that all done it was back on the hunt for more parts .I ordered up a knock off Nardi wheel pretty much because it looked good .I know regret doing that because the glue is coming off the parts near the spokes . I'm waiting on a used Mazdaspeed /Momo 360 .I also found a deal on a used Status fiberglass bucket seat . This thing looked a lot cleaner in the pics but for the price i couldn't pass it up .I also found a company that was willing to make me a carbon fiber radio surround for free. I just had to send them my original one and wait 2 months for it to be made .But i got it the condition was great it looked perfect missing a couple holes for mounting but thats all and it was FREE.
I then decided i needed to fix up the exterior . So i started looking for some parts . I picked up a AutoKonection V1.5 trunk ,used driver side fender ,some tinted tail lights, and a Bomex front bumper . I also was kicking around the idea of what kind of wheels i wanted when i member on Cr.net put up his 13" SSR MkI & MkII's .. I had no choice but to jump on the deal as i was looking for a old school style wheel with a nice big lip.
So that pretty much sums up my car nothing makes any sense and it really doesn't have any true function but it should look good and handle well(once i replace the racelands ) .
