This thing is an OE app surplus from a Chrysler 300c. It's designed to be integrated into an existing audio system which makes it easy to add to any car. Takes the high signal lead from any speaker for the sub, then add power and on signal. Details are on the partsXpress website. Super simple/cheap way to add some base. It's small to: 5x3.5x1".

Pretty cool little amp. How do you find this stuff?!?

In the reviews there's a funky little wiring trick you have to do to get it to power up. But I'll pick one up anyway, that's too cheap not to.

Let me just say that Amazon knows how to collect, analyze and execute data for marketing. I've a client that's working with them and they are a "smart" company. The last thing I was shopping for on Amazon was bicycle parts to "renovate" a couple of hybrids and I think this was in one of those recommended side bars. The only reason I think it came up was because I bought a Dual head unit from them like four years ago, maybe five. I haven't bought any other audio equipment from them, ever. Of course the price is what caught my eye- that paired with the fact that I have this thing called a DR Basepump (twin 6" - below) sitting in the closet that would work nice in the benz. Amazon just made it too easy to pass up.

I should throw up some of the speakers I have that would work with this thing. Both were mounted in the package shelf on the Miata. The 8" is a tight fit, but possible, while the 6" is an easy fit.

I'm gonna install it under the seat to run the bass shakers, it seems small enough to fit easily. If I fry it within a year then it was worth it.

Here ya go. Both Coustic, large magnets, 6" is poly - $10, the 8" is reinforced paper - $13.

I put 2 sets of the 8" Bass Pumps in my daughter's Volvo sedan. They sound ok but the amp I used sucks. I'd love to properly amp those things and see what they can do.
