Mazda part number 2306-13-456 appears to work, but double check that with your parts guy.

BTW, I am ordering some for another 1.6 cat, if you want I can add one stud and nut to the order. Theyre not cheap. As I recall about $4-6 each. And I think the nuts are $2-3 ea.
I will have to check that though.

just drill it out and replace the broken stud with a bolt and nut instead.

^ agreed. I replaced mine with stainless bolts/nuts, and they STILL all froze on me and needed cutting out.

Mine did the same thing, I cut them with a saw.
I just bought new ones from Lowes lol.

Thats an option. It works better on 1.8 cats. On a 1.6 cat you must cut some of heat shield off to have access to both ends of the bolt. But it can be done.

I did it on my 1.6 cat with out having to do that...That or maybe I don't remember cutting my heat shield.
Mike was there, I wonder if Mike remembers having to do that.

That or I was missing the heat shield. Unfortunately I am unable to tell now days .
Either way... Dereck..just drill out the stud and put int bolts. It will make your life easier if you ever have to remove your exhaust again.

Do you have a 1.8 car? That cat is completely different. No need for shield trimming.

IIRC Bryan, we took it to that exhaust shop so it could be taken out. You might have to grind down the back and knock it out. When I installed the new mid-pipe in Jenn's MSM, I got some really nice heat-treated heavy duty exhaust bolts/nuts/washers from Autozone....ask Ben about them. I think I spend like $7 for all of the hardware.

Nope I have a 1.6 and had a 1.6 cat. I am currently running a 1.8 test pipe right now.

thanks everyone for your help, we just cut the ent of the cat off and welded a new flange to it, cause it was free! so its all good now, stainless nuts/bolts = FAIL.
