Since I have a clutch install coming up soon I need to get a flywheel to have machined for the install. Afterwards I'll be selling my stocker as well.

So I want to see if anyone has one laying around to sell. Or, ideally, one that I can have and then I will send you mine after the install :)

Obviously I will pay any shipping charges involved in any of this. I'm open to an aftermarket flywheel so if you have one let me know.

I'll dig around. I know we have some Fidanzas, and some stock ones.

Miatastuff, if you get a chance PM me what you've got please.

Dude I would trade in a heartbeat but I want to hang on to the MAF so I can return the car to stock when it's selling time.

FYI
The '01 - '05 flywheels are 4# lighter than the '94 - '97!

Thanks for the info. I actually don't know what year the flywheel I got is from, the add just said 1.8

Now I'm on the market for a good machine shop. I think Rip knows a guy, any other suggestions in the Soufside area?

The Only ting I would say is to make sure that you chase the threads In all the holes to make sure they are clean before you bolt it up....You don't want to remove metal, just make sure there are no burrs...they will cause torque variations and stress risers leading to cracks....The Flywheel is made of cast Iron.If you think that this is overkill, next time you are in the junk yard, hit a scrap engine block with a hammer...see how easy it cracks.Proper torque is Important.....The sage advice of a used car Photographer....

What do you use to "chase" the threads?

A tap and some anti-seize. Or some type of machining oil.

Motor oil will work too...
