So I have been on the forum for a little while and haven't made one of these "Welcome Section" threads. I wouldn't call myself new to the car scene, but I am definitely still a youngster.

I am currently a full time Mechanical Engineering student at Mercer University, and will be graduating in May of this year!

My first car was a 2000 Celica GT-S. It was definitely a girl's car, but I really enjoyed this car and had a fun time modding it through my first years of college. It was a good car for what it was, and I will always have a thing for this model Celica.

Next I got a LSB18 swapped '96 Civic Hatch. I had it for maybe 3 months before I sold it. I guess I am just not cut out for the Honda crowd really. It was a cool/quick car, but it brought me some attention that I didn't really want. Even more so than the Celica did.

But enough of that, now getting to the reason that I am here! Once I realized that I didn't want to keep the LS swapped hatch I sold it and picked up my '97 NA miata. It is pretty much all stock. Switched out my chrome altezzas for some factory lights and did the DIY Home Depot lip recently. :D

Thanks for the warm welcome to the site so far. I hope to get alot more information and help here. :D

I know where you can get some pretty decent looking 15's if you play your cards right.

*EDIT: Added picture to first post

Ha, I think I have talked to pretty much everyone here about picking up a set of some kind of factory wheels. But now I actually have the cash to buy a set since I have been interning at an engineering firm over the Christmas break.

But thanks for the warm welcome guys! Got to decide what kind of wheels I want to go with for the ole miata. I have been leaning towards the 7-spokes though.

Welcome! I am wanting to be a mechanical engineer!

Well it is definitely quite the task. A lot of all nighters and cursing at your calculator for giving you the wrong answer will be in your future. :(

Good luck man!

Well lets just say it helps to have one of these.

But to be honest I just spend as little time as possible in Macon. Spend most of time in the Byron and Warner Robins area.

Welcome officially! I actually like what you did with the Celica, good job.

Thanks man, I know it is not everyones cup of tea, but it was the first car I ever modded. Had a very small budget with just working in the summers and taking full time engineering classes during the semesters. I definitely made some mistakes with the car, and wish I could go back and change some things, but who hasn't done that?

You don't like my drift charm man?!? :vin:

If it helps it is not on the car anymore? :dunno: Although I was thinking of maybe hanging it from the rear view mirror in the future. :D

That was a little part of my Christmas gift from my gf. I had it on the car for a couple of days. She knows that I like autocross, and found that at the local Target.
