Looks like it saves a good bit of weight. How's the output? Looks like the lights would get somewhat blocked by the bumper.

That flat nose makes it look like you have been chasing parked cars.

Everything is aluminum and the rivets are stainless steel so yes it cut a good 10lb off the front of the car if not more. The output is good and yes the bumper covers a very small amount of the light but the amount it covers does not really affect light output.
Its also nice becase when you have the lights on and you open the hood you have a bunch of light under the hood too. I will take pics once it gets dark out tonight of them on.

lol thanks the reason its flat is when the owner before me cut the front opening to make it bigger it made the front more flexible. So from driving the car it flattened it. =[

That would look fitting on GraffitiPanda's (sp?) car.... and that is about it. Sorry, that, looks awful as it sits. Do some finish work on it and it would look good. Cover the rivets with a trim piece, try to get a better fit along the hood and finish the inside of the light housing to cover the wiring and other metal bits and you would have something.

When the car gets painted we have planned to kitty hair and bondo over the rivets and other parts of it to make it look nicer. I would have finished more of the inside but its just too cold out up here 20 and under. lol The fit around the hood i did that way for a reason and its to help air flow into the hood as rotaries need as much cooling as they can get.

I prersonally would not bondo over the rivets, it will eventually crack as the steel, stainless steel and plexiglas all expand and contract at different rates. I'd just paint the rivets black, it would be less noticeable.

I like it. I like it alot. It beats having to spend like 600 bucks on the kit from gomiata.

it look like the lens and the hood arent flush..........is that fixable?
One thing i love is clearing out clutter under the hood. I really would like to clear out my emissions crap but paulding county needs emissions.

i didnt want it to be flush so that air would go in under the hood to help with cooling. what year is your miata?
miatasaint

It is a 1990, and by that reasoning i do understand why it isnt flush.

yes this is very true, when i had my 99 miata i was able to pass to obdII test with out any egr and or evap system. Its all in a mater of know when to take the car in and knowing how to fool your stock ecu, the fact that your car is a 90 means you should be able to remover almost everything and still pass.

dude thatd be fvcking awesome if i could actually do that..
miatamike
12-26-2010, 01:51 PM
Its easy to do it you dont have EGR on the 90 all you have really is a charcoal canister and a few other small evap systems parts.

Yeah that canister is god awful ugly. I should just paint it pink or something. hahahaha anyways we might be gettin a lil off topic here...s'all good though.

You can take all the crap off and still pas easily. I have the bare minimum under the hood of my car and I still breeze through it. I'll take a picture and show you what I mean.

What are we judging? Workmanship? Style? Other? :)
My opinion is that square lights dont go that well on a car that features nearly all curved lines. I much prefer round lights. But others will disagree.

General opinion! =] I do agree but i don't like the big stock round ones i would like to run 4 small round ones but i had theses laying around so yeah. lol
